British motoring icon Jaguar is to enter a team in the third season of the FIA Formula E Championship in the autumn of 2016.

Formula E is the world’s first global single-seater championship for electric powered cars and Jaguar Land Rover believes it will provide a real world performance test bed for future EV technology.

Williams Advanced Engineering will be Technical Partner to the Jaguar Formula E Team and provide extensive motor sport knowledge, combined with high performance EV Systems experience and success.

JLR has a long term relationship with Williams. Most recently the companies worked together on the development of the Jaguar C-X75 plug-in hybrid concept car.
