Jaguar F-Pace “performance crossover” SUV based on C-X17 concept to go into production in 2016.

Jaguar has confirmed it will introduce an all-new model to the Jaguar line-up – its first SUV.

So far just one teaser shot of its rear quarter has been released, but we know it’s based on the very attractive C-X17 concept car shown in 2013/4 and it will be similar in size to the Audi Q5 and BMW X3.

The F-Pace will be made at Solihull, alongside various Land Rover and Range Rover products, plus the new Jaguar XE saloon.

Jaguar Land Rover will create 1,300 new jobs at the plant as it develops its expertise in aluminium and lightweight technologies.

To support the introduction of these new technologies, JLR has already invested £1.5bn in new facilities – the the largest single investment in the Solihull plant in its 70-year history.
